UNITED, YET DIVIDED

~Jay Mehta
The earth is continuously undergoing change. From the huge cloud of dust and gases to a red hot ball of fire to its division into a huge mass of land called PANGAEA and the large ocean called the PANTALAXIA. This was the first division witnessed on earth. After billion years and the tectonic movements, PANGAEA was divided into various continents and what we see now in the photographs of earth from space.

Meanwhile, many species of plants and animals originated till the appearance of the ‘Apes’ the ancestors of all human beings. As their brains were developing, they feared nature. They thought that if they harm nature, they will be affected adversely. They stayed together and progressed in life, helping each other in their difficulties. However, their unity did not prevail for long. When food and shelter were not enough to fulfill everyone’s need, they started killing each other. This was the first division in the history of man. This was followed by many more disintegrating developments. Gradually man started operating all by himself and forgot about other.

Presently, in the 21st century, the feeling of overtaking each other, pushing others beneath is dominating. The one, who has reached colorful heights, forgets those who help he has sought to reach there. We, the HOMOSAPAINS have gone to divide and differentiate each other on the basis of caste, creed, color, gender etc. we have divided continents into countries, states, districts, cities, towns, and villages. We have divided Mother Earth into an infinite division. The hope of unity is thus fading, with every individual wanting to be independent. Everyone tends to think that he or she is superior to everyone else in this universe.
How is that we don’t understand that every man on this earth has the same mother? Our Mother Earth!

So I plead to this generation and the coming generation to create a wonderful era in the history of the earth by living together and treating each individual as his/her brother/sister without any discrimination because we all are born on the same earth, drinking the same water, and breath the same air. So no one is different from each other. We can progress together, change the world and improve the condition of living. I hope that everyone transforms into a true ‘GLOBAL CITIZEN’.

P.S: - We should always keep learning in our life from our elders, from our young ones. The world always keeps changing we should change as it does. According to this change, we should simultaneously grow with knowledge. We should always learn and we should learn until we grow and change for the better. Things change all the time, nothing remains the same. When our earth was a ball of water all creatures on earth lived in it and swam. When the water subsided and the land appeared the creatures crawled out of the water bodies and learned to walk on land and breathe the air. When plants and trees started to grow on the lands they learned to climb and fruits instead of grass. When there weren't enough plants and fruits they started agriculture and cooking food for themselves. This was not the end.....
The things are still changing. Thoughts are changing. Better ideas are coming up. This is the wheel of fortune which never stops and keeps on turning around its axis.
