The World Won't Wait

The World Won't Wait! 

Would love to walk at my own pace!

But the world won't wait.

Would love to sit around in a garden,

And watch the skies go from orange to blue and from blue to velvet.

Would just wait and feel my each breath;

But the world won't wait.

Have sat on pitch green grass,

And walk through mesmerizing sessions,

Recalling the blissful memories!

Have just sat around and heard the kids play.

Have heard those sweet twitters of birds!

Have seen the leaves fall;

Memories have been made,

Lives have been changed;

But I never saw the world wait.

It is good to slow down,

It is good to sway with the sound of musical drums,

It is good to stay and watch the stars disappear in the rising sun,

But the world still won't wait.

Everyone is busy minding their own business,

Everybody wants to live their life to the fullest;

But they are stuck in this materialistic world, which will never wait.

We have formed a society of workaholics.

We have got sportsmen but no sportsmen spirit.

We have Global Citizens,

But no patriotism!!

If we don't hurry we won't reach the finishing line,

If we don't worry we just remain another face without the light of lime.

Life is not a race??Well, that looks good just as a phrase!!

Everyone is running,

Running faster than others,

Faster than they ran yesterday,

Faster than they ever did!

Life is neither about running nor waiting,

Life is just an exam which we are giving!!

It is an exam where we all have different syllabus,

And yet we all try to board the same bus.

Life is about figuring out things,

It is about questioning the untouched wings!!

It is about finding the inner truth,

As you compete with your fellow troops!!

Who doesn't want to see a kid on a merry-go-round??

Who doesn't want to hear the rain slapping the ground??

Who wouldn't like to follow the butterflies’ erratic flight??

Who would like to miss a view of twilight??

No one wishes to miss on to things,

But no one can wait to live for this eternal bliss,

For they know they would be crumbled if they waste a second just to wait.

For they know, the world won't wait.

Life is not a race,

But it can't be slowed down,

Everyone is listening to the music,

As they write their own song.

Because they know the world won't wait!!

For it has everything kept at its stake!
