India A Free Nation??

Our country got its freedom on this day in 1947. But, did we really become a free nation??

I would say NO!

Yeah, even after 70 years of freedom I believe we aren't yet free.
We all are chained by corruption. We still stereotype people. We still do riots and fight on the basis of religion. We still look down upon the victims of rape and not the rapist themselves. We get offended by jokes. Our thoughts haven't yet developed to the maturity of a free country.

I am not saying we haven't proceeded from where we were. I am not saying that we aren't developing. We are developing but the rate at which it is happening is too slow. This slow moment of progress is not due to overpopulation, it is merely due to the division that we have still kept amongst us. We are lagging behind just because of our ego because we don't want to hold each other's hand and walk together. We don't want to see our fellow citizens with us on top. We still lack the sportsmen spirit. We still keep grudges about irrelevant incidents. We don't let go off them.

We have become "sentimental idiots" in due course of 70 years.

Let us just let go of certain things.

Let's not discuss stuff that doesn't matter.

Let's believe ourselves and develop trust and faith on our fellow citizens.

Let's unite, and move ahead as a country and not like an individual.

Let's truly get independent as a nation and not an individual.

Hope we understand the true meaning of Independence and serve for our nation rather than for ourselves or small group of people.

Let's represent India and not its states.
