The Friendship’s Day
A gift, a toy;
A world filled with mirth and joy.
Here’s a piece for you, my love;
Here’s a soul that you deserve.
It’s just some words that might rhyme,
But if you see through them,
You might see diamonds that shine.
You have been the best-est friend;
That I ever got, or I will.
Even when you saw the dead end,
You stood with me steady and still.
I know this is not what you expect from me,
I know you desire much more of me.
I know you have spared your time for me,
I know you have been there just for me.
On this friendship’s day,
I thank you and I apologize,
Apologize for the wrong that had been said and done.
But I am sure we will shine bright,
Shine bright to see the joyous sun.
We have seen ups and downs,
Our journey has been topsy-turvy,
But our love sees no bounds,
And we shall always prove it to be worthy!
I love thee,
And you do love me!
We shall be together,
And smile at the world, like it is.
